This project was developed during my inaugural web technologies course, where we gained foundational knowledge in building a Hapi.js backend integrated with a MongoDB database. Concurrently, we learned to implement visual components using Bulma CSS and Svelte. For my final project, I decided to create "Asteo," an innovative online platform designed for art enthusiasts. This platform empowers users to store their favorite art pieces on an interactive map, which not only aids in easily recalling previously visited art but also allows them to discover potential new explorations based on the saved locations of other users. During the development process, I quickly realized that Bulma CSS was too restrictive for my design ambitions; consequently, I transitioned to Tailwind CSS and custom SCSS, which provided significantly greater flexibility and control over the visual integration.
